Covid-19, obesity, and health

Here’s a few thoughts on the virus.

Covid-19 is here to stay. Choose natural immunity or the jab. Completely your choice and we should respect that.

However, 80% of minimizing the effects of a severe reaction to covid-19 depends on whether you are healthy, and taking care of yourself.

42% of the US is obese or morbidly obese. The risk of getting severe disease like Covid-19 is 4 to 5 times higher.
— Dr. Sanjay Gupta on the Joe Rogan Experience

Fact is that there is a huge correlation between obesity and covid-19. https://www.cdc.gov/obesity/data/obesity-and-covid-19.html

What are you doing to get healthier? A few simple ways to get healthier is remain active every day.

Start walking every day for at least 15 minutes, especially after a big meal.

Supplementation. Vitamins D, zinc, magnesium, a B complex, fish oil, and a multivitamin.

Healthier eating. It can be stressed enough. 80% of our immune system is in our gut.

Lose the body fat and start training. Find something you like doing. Swimming, running,, weigh training, CrossFit. Anything! Just do it.

One of the great things about dropping the excess baggage is that your joints feel better. You’re not carrying that extra weight and in turn, the body responds favorably. I know that when I dropped 35 pounds,

I felt younger, healthier, and my knees stopped hurting from my years of heavy squats. I can still squat heavy with numbers I was using before the weight loss, but I’m a m stronger at a lighter weight.

Covid isn’t going away. The thought that we can wipe it out entirely is nonsense. In my opinion, masks are a hit or miss. If a fart can stink through underwear and a thick pair of jeans, what makes you think droplets of a virus are going to stop through a mask?

I respect your decision, but if you choose to wear a mask, use it properly. If you want to train with me and request that I wear a mask, I will. I want you to feel safe and to trust the process. I only ask that if you feel ill, please do not compromise my health even though I am vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine.

I’m not preaching and this is my opinion. My only concern is that everyone get healthier!
